Juventus coach Thiago Motta will resort to his Italian contingent in the Champions League contest against Leipzig after resting them in the 3-0 win over Genoa on Saturday.
The Bianconeri returned to winning way in Serie A after three successive stalemates, and they’re now gunning for another victory on the European stage after beating PSV Eindhoven in their first outing.
Since the start of the season, Motta has been consistently tweaking his lineup as he’s still looking to find the ideal combination following the club’s summer revamp. Nevertheless, Michele Di Gregorio, Federico Gatti, Manuel Locatelli and Andrea Cambiaso have been regular starters.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Motta will resort to the services of the four Italian players when he takes on Leipzig on Wednesday night.
Gatti will rekindle his successful partnership with Gleison Bremer at the heart of the backline, while Cambiaso fills in at left-back. The pink newspaper expects Pierre Kalulu to earn himself a spot at right-back, thus dropping club captain Danilo to the bench once more.
In the middle of the park, Khephren Thuram and the revived Weston McKennie will be dueling for a starting berth alongside Locatelli, while Dusan Vlahovic and his supporting crew remain intact, with Teun Koopmeiners starting behind and Kenan Yildiz and Nico Gonzalez taking the wings.
Juventus Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Gatti, Bremer, Cambiaso; Locatelli, McKennie/Thuram; Gonzalez, Koopmeiners, Yildiz; Vlahovic
