Inter Player Ratings vs Monza: Lautaro the Man of the Hour

Here are our Inter player ratings against Monza. The Nerazzurri managed to seal a 2-0 victory against the Biancorossi.

Inzaghi’s side found the opener early as Nicoló Barella architected the goal, finding Denzel Dumfries out-wide into space. The Dutchman dispatched a low-driven cross to find Lautaro in order to slot the Argentinian international’s first goal of the season.

Despite the Nerazzurri remaining on the front-foot and playing in a fluid-attacking matter, they only remained one goal ahead of Monza after the first forty-five.

In the second half, Monza managed to shift the tide of momentum, gaining more possession of the ball and creating several scares. As a result, Inzaghi made several tactical adjustments in order to raise the intensity of Inter’s play.

The former Lazio coach’s tactical adjustments paid off as Marko Arnautovic made his mark upon his return to Inter, manoeuvring past his marker with a fine piece of individual skill in order to connect with Martinez and double the Beneamata‘s advantage, paving the way for Inter to attain all three points with a positive 2-0 win.
