Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea star Jorginho.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Bianconeri have made contact with the midfielder’s representatives, letting them know that they are keen on signing him in case he wants to leave Stamford Bridge.
Jorginho has been a key player for Chelsea since joining them from Napoli in the summer of 2018 for €57m. The Italy international has made 159 appearances for the Blues, scoring 21 goals while providing five assists.
Jorginho had a magnificent 2020/21 season as he helped Chelsea win the Champions League before playing an important in Italy winning the Euros. He was named in the Team of the Tournament for both competitions.
The 29-year-old’s exploits earned him the UEFA Best Player in Europe award and third place in the Ballon d’Or.
Since joining Chelsea, Jorginho has been linked to Juventus more than any other club. At one point it seemed like a move was imminent but it never happened. And now, the chances look very slim.
Jorginho’s addition would definitely strengthen Juve’s midfield but it will be very hard to convince Chelsea to sell him.
