Juventus Miss Chance to Outearn Inter in Cumulative 2021/22 Revenues

Juventus crashed out of the UEFA Champions League with a hapless second-half 2nd leg showing against Villarreal at the Allianz Stadium, thereby missing out on the chance to outearn Inter among all the clubs in the Serie A market pool. Although the Nerazzurri too crashed out of the Round of 16 phase of the competition, they profit from their earnings as champions of Italy.

According to Calcio e Finanza (via FCInter1908), Inter and Juventus have each bagged €5.7m from Champions League proceedings, whereas Milan and Atalanta have €4.3m each in their coffers.

However, the overall revenue of the market pool is estimated with an initial total of €20m allocated for all Italian clubs in the highest tier of continental competition. As 2020/21 Scudetto champions, Inter earn €8m, with runners-up Milan earning €6m. Third-placed Atalanta and fourth-placed Juventus received €4m and €2m each for their performances in Serie A last season.

Total Revenues of Italian Teams in 2021/22 –

  • Inter – €13.7m (€8m + €5.7m)
  • Milan – €10.3m (€6m + €4.3m)
  • Atalanta – €8.3m (€4m + €4.3m)
  • Juventus – €7.7m (€2m + €5.7m)
