Juventus Shortlist Two Left-Back Names to Replace Alex Sandro

Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro’s time in Turin seems to be nearing the end, as Juventus have already put him up on the winter transfer market for a potential move. However, there are no offers yet for the talented 30-year-old wing-back.

Sandro’s contract expires in June 2023 and according to Calciomercato, his future will only be decided in June 2022, when there will be only one season left in his contractual terms.

The Brazilian’s wage bill adds up to €6m net per season – something Juventus are keen to lay off considering their current financial predicament.

Also, he has been left on the bench for Juventus’ most recent encounters against Salernitana, Genoa and Venezia, with his place being taken by Luca Pellegrini on the left wing.

Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly a fan of Alex Sandro and does not wish to get rid of him. However, onboarding of youngsters seems to be the need of the hour in the Old Lady’s ranks and according to reports, Federico Cherubini has already initiated contact with two names for the taking – Everton’s Lucas Digne and Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso.

Out of the two, the former is said to be edging closer to Juventus, with Chelsea also keeping close tabs on him.
