Lazio Legend Immobile to Stay Put Until Career End, Says Agent Moggi

Ciro Immobile’s reputation as one of Lazio’s best ever goalscorers will forever be etched into folklore, according to the EURO 2020 winner’s agent. His intermediary, Alessandro Moggi, has confirmed that he will end his career at Stadio Olimpico.

The former Borussia Dortmund marksman has comfortably chiseled himself into Biancocelesti history books, thanks to his spectacular goalscoring form ever since his debut for the club in 2016. Since arriving from Sevilla for a steal-buy of €10m, he has managed to bag terrific numbers each passing season.

Moggi spoke to the microphones of Radio Marte (via Gianluca di Marzio) and cleared the doubts regarding the Azzurri international’s future in the sky-blue part of the Roman divide.

“He will remain at Lazio until the end of his career. It is a definitive sign of deep attachment. The club made a very important gesture by binding Ciro until 2026. We are talking about the strongest striker in Italy in the last few years. Numerically, he has done very well and also won the Golden Boot,” he commented.

Immobile signed a five-year contract extension deal in the summer of 2020, after securing the famed European Golden Show award for his Serie A record equaling 36-goal feat in 2019/20 – breaking Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez’s decade-long stranglehold on the accolade.

The Lazio frontman has 174 goals and 46 assists to his name in 250 appearances so far. This is his sixth season running in the capital and he already ranks as the top scorer in the club’s history, with Italian legends Silvio Piola and Giuseppe Signori trailing him by a mile.
