Juventus legend Dino Zoff has given his say regarding the intense fight for Scudetto this season – given Milan, Napoli and Inter’s prowess in the top half of the table this campaign. The former duo are unbeaten on top of Serie A standings, whereas Inter trail them both by seven points.
Speaking of which, Zoff also shed light on the Bianconeri, who he thinks can claim a place in the top four, before providing his thoughts on the two capital clubs.
“There are two teams that have an advantage and they are Milan and Napoli. After that there is Inter in full competition, I think the Scudetto is the trio’s business. Juventus, on the other hand, can manage to fit into the top four. They have the qualities,” explained the former Bianconeri legend
Roma and Lazio have witnessed a change in identity with the change in their respective managers, in Jose Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri.
“Roma had unhappy moments, Lazio are recovering, but both will only be evaluated in the coming months,” he said
The iconic Italian shot-stopper believes that the initial enthusiasm for Mourinho was perhaps ‘exaggerated’.
He finished: “For the Giallorossi, the initial enthusiasm for Mourinho was perhaps exaggerated, but it is part of the environment. Now we have to deal with reality.”
