Milan are working on the fringes of the roster and could soon bid farewell to Leo Duarte and Andrea Conti and add Soualiho Meite from Torino, Calciomercato.com reports. The 24-year-old Brazilian defender has rarely featured during his time in Italy and is nearing an agreement to join Istanbul Basaksehir on loan; Parma and Genoa also inquired about him but the move to Turkey appears imminent.
Fiorentina are targeting Andrea Conti to replace Pol Lirola, who is on his way to Olympique Marseille. The specialized site indicates that the club and the representatives of the player will meet this week to take stock of his situation and evaluate the offer coming from the Viola, which will have to be over €7M to be considered sufficient. Conti has appeared just four times off the bench so far as the coach has preferred Davide Calabia and Diogo Dalot in his position.
Milan have identified Soualiho Meite as the primary candidate to serve as Frack Kessie’s back-up, especially now that Kouadio Koné, who was previously linked to them, appears set to join Borussia Moenchedbalch, which outbid the Rossoneri, as reported by L’Equipe.
Milan are negotiating for Meite with Torino on a €1M initial loan with a €8M option to buy. The 26-year-old Ivorian midfielder, a regular starter in the early portion of the season, has played just 25 minutes in the last five matches as Marco Giampaolo has begun relying more on Amer Gojak and their other options in that role.
