Napoli Captain Insigne Wary of Rival Teams After Perfect League Start

Napoli stormed to their fourth consecutive Serie A victory against Udinese, as they thrashed Le Zebrette by a 4-0 scoreline, thanks to goals from Osimhen, Rrahmani, Koulibaly and Lozano. The win puts them at the pedestal of the Scudetto table, just one point behind league leaders Inter having played a game less.

Partenopei captain Lorenzo Insigne believes this season’s title race will be closer than ever, with a number of strong teams competing at the top.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia & DAZN in his post-match press conference, the 30-year-old reveled in his team’s position from a perfect start to the season but paid close heed to the fact that they will face a heated tussle from rival teams.

“I think there are many strong teams, like Roma, Milan, Inter, Juve and Atalanta. We think about one match at a time, this is a starting point,” he said. “For now, being table leaders means nothing. We need to be humble and keep working hard.”

Luciano Spalletti’s side are the only team with a 100% match record so far in Serie A, taking maximum points from four games so far. Napoli have scored 10 goals and conceded just 2 – the joint lowest with Milan.
