Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has said that he will be out for a few weeks owing to injury.
The Cameroon international played the entirety of the Partenopei’s fixture against Inter but has said on Instagram that he will be out of action for some time.
“I’m forced to stop for a few weeks,” said Anguissa. “I will work hard to get back as quickly as possible. I will continue to support my teammates; I’m counting on you! Forza Napoli always.”
Anguissa has been a regular for Napoli this season so far, making 15 appearances across all competitions. This is bad news for Luciano Spalletti’s side, who has also been sidelined due to facial injuries he suffered following a collision with Milan Skriniar last weekend.
With Diego Demme also injured, there’s a good chance we could see Stanislav Lobotka get some game time in Napoli’s forthcoming fixtures.
Next up for the Partenopei is a trip to Russia for their Europa League fixture against Spartak Moscow.
