Nemanja Radonjic: “I Did Everything to Come to Torino”

Torino forward Nemanja Radonjic joined the club the past summer on a one-year loan deal from Olympique de Marseille, and is loving every minute at the Stadio Olimpico in the northwest of Italy. The former Roma youth product moved from Benfica, where he also on loan. He now feels important in Turin.

The Serbian spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tuttomercatoweb) and shared his thoughts on life in the dark red of Torino.

I’m happy because finally at Torino I’m finding what I was looking for: continuity and goals. In recent years I hadn’t played much, then I crossed paths with Toro and Juric who they made me feel important. I did everything to come here, even gave up a part of my old salary.”

Radonjic then went on to evaluate how he can improve his style of play.

“I showed the best in one-on-one. I have to improve in the defensive phase. This is the best moment of my career, because I play a lot and I feel protagonist. I hope to score a lot and make a lot of assists.”

Torino sit 10th in Serie A, having started the Serie A season somewhat on a mediocre note. Following their 2-1 win over Udinese, they play Italian champions Milan next at home.
