Scamacca Names Inter Target as His Toughest Opponent

Gianluca Scamacca is bound to leave the Neroverdi ranks for a glittering future at a top club, most probably touted to become Inter’s star signing in the summer. However, he is not short of suitors, especially from his homeland.

In a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport (via FCInterNews), the 23-year-old striker shared his thoughts on his future and said he’ll ‘follow his heart’ amid all the rumours surround his stance in the summer.

“The voices of interest from big clubs are nice, they are a stimulus. But I don’t follow the transfer market too much. I don’t think about it, I’ve never given myself limits. When it comes to deciding, I’ll follow my heart. I went abroad once and I’m not afraid to make that choice again,” he said.

When quizzed on his best match at San Siro against Inter, he was modest in his reply, saying it’s a pleasure to play at the iconic stadium.

He commented: “I don’t know if the best of all, but one of the best. Winning at San Siro is always a good feat. We are proud of that victory, in a stadium where so many great champions have played, against a team that is among the best.”

This season has brought about fresh faces into the spotlight and the center-forward shed light on who he thinks gave him the most jitters as a defender.

“This year, Bremer of Turin,” he said.

As one of Italian football’s most in-demand players, Scamacca has scored 12 goals in 29 appearances for the Neroverdi this campaign.
