Serie A Announces New Technical Sponsorship Deal

Serie A ended its historical partnership with technical sponsor Nike and entered a new deal with PUMA effective next season.

The brand that already dresses the Azzurri will provide the balls for the top Italian league, as they are already doing with La Liga in Spain. The official website of the Serie A announced the news with the following words:

“Global sports company PUMA and Lega Serie A today announced a new long-term partnership. PUMA becomes the official technical partner of the League from the start of the 2022/23 football season and will be the official ball supplier for all matches of the TIM Serie A, TIMVISION Primavera 1 competitions, Frecciarossa Coppa Italia, Frecciarossa Supercoppa and eSerie A TIM.”

The Lega Calcio CEO Luigi De Siervo, and PUMA representative Manolo Schermann commented in a joint statement:

“We are extremely proud to announce this new partnership. The link with a brand of absolute international level as PUMA demonstrates the importance and recognition of the Lega Serie A at the global level and offers a great visibility to our brand. With the choice of PUMA will ensure both the highest technical standards for all our competitions, both a style in line with the fashion trends of the younger generation. This agreement also ensures continuity in the centralized marketing operations of the Lega Serie A and confirms the willingness of the clubs to work together for the enhancement of our product.”
