This past Serie A weekend was full of thrills and chills. Both Atalanta and Lazio came back from behind to beat their respective guests, Roma and Inter, in two exciting, important fixtures. Juventus got a disappointing victory, Genoa seem to have forgotten how to lose, and Milan are on the right track thanks to the rebirth of a certain Ante Rebic.

Pazzini, Stepinski Put Verona Ahead of SPAL In Relegation Battle

Verona began the new year by winning 2-0 in Ferrara against SPAL in a key relegation battle. Goals by Giampaolo Pazzini and Mariusz Stepinski put the Scaligeri ahead of the Biancazzurri, which played with one man less for 55 minutes after Nenad Tomovic was sent off. Ivan Juric’s side moved to 22 points in the table with one match still to play.
