Tammy Abraham Revels in Match-Winning Display Against Udinese

Tammy Abraham’s super start to his Roma career cannot be understated. The enigmatic English striker netted his side’s only goal of the game to edge out Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico, bringing his overall goal tally to three in a total of seven matches.

The 23-year-old scored his second home goal just before half time from a tap-in assisted wonderfully by 19-year-old prodigy Riccardo Calafiori.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, the Englishman said he ‘feels at home’ with the Giallorossi.

“From the first day I am here they have made me feel like family. And then I want to win and that’s why I try to spread this confidence among my teammates,” he said.

On the match itself, Abraham commented: “It was tough because they are a difficult side to face, congratulations to the teammates for the great performance.”

Roma face Lazio next in the Derby della Capitale on the weekend as they seek to catch up with the two Milan giants and Luciano Spalletti’s high-flying Napoli who remain the only unbeaten side in the league.

When quizzed whether he’s aware of the derby’s importance, he noted: “My teammates have never stopped talking to me about it. My teammates and I are ready. We are waiting for Sunday.”

Roma have succumbed to just one loss so far – a narrow 3-2 defeat to Hellas Verona – but look like a side capable of fighting for a top spot.
