Three Italian Names Linked to Succeed Bologna Manager Mihajlovic

Bologna’s encounter against Genoa might just be coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s final game for the club, having guided them since 2019, racking in 135 games for the club so far. Having gone through a tense leukemia treatment for the latter half the current season, the ex-Inter center-half could take sometime off from work.

Keeping that in mind, the Rossoblu have already started shortlisting managers to take on the dugout next season. According to reports from La Repubblica, three names have appeared on the tracks of the club.

Former Milan midfielder and ex-Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso is one of the contenders to take over the role at Casteldebole, along with former Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi and 2006 World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro.

At the moment, reportedly Mihajlovic is not eager to step down from the helm. He would like to continue at the club that gave him the first managerial start back in 2008.

He has 424 matches of experience at the highest level, having managed Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and even Milan.
