Tottenham Interested in Signing Perisic

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Inter winger Ivan Perisic.

The Croatia international’s current contract with the Nerazzurri runs out next summer and according to Spanish media (via Calciomercato.com), he has not ruled out the possibility of a renewal. However, clubs outside Serie A are interested in signing him as well with Tottenham being linked to him.

Perisic has made a total of 223 appearances for Inter, scoring 48 goals while providing 42 assists. The 32-year-old has become a key player under Simone Inzaghi this season as a wingback. In 18 appearances across all competitions, Perisic has amassed three goals and two assists.

Given the Croat’s current form and experience, Inter would prefer having him for a few more years. However, there will be other teams who would want to have him in their squad.

Perisic would be a good signing for Antonio Conte’s side and add depth to their attack. However, given that the North London side already have the likes of Heung-min Son and Steven Bergwijn, it does’t seem like they actually need him.
