Two Serie A Giants Eye Chelsea Ace N’Golo Kanté

Chelsea midfield pinhead N’Golo Kanté is set to leave the club at the end of the season, and two Serie A heavyweights are said to be eager to pounce on the opportunity to sign him. The 2018 World Cup winner will sit out of this year’s tournament for France following recurring injuries, aiming to return fit for the latter half of the season.

According to La Reppublica, Inter and Juventus are interested in signing the 31-year-old Frenchman, who is a force to be reckoned with when fit. He is currently enroute a contract expiration in June 2023, with Chelsea making no moves from their end to sign an extension. Kanté will be open to forging a pre-contract agreement in January – six months before his contract expires – with a club of his choice.

He is expected to leave next summer, or as early as in the winter transfer window, in order to seek a career challenge in a new league.

Currently, both the Bianconeri and Nerazzurri would be keen on bolstering their respective central midfield positions.
