Early chances for Udinese fell to Samir and Rodrigo De Paul, though it was Parma who would strike first. Hernani’s ranged effort taking a deflection off of Samir to give the visitors the lead, only for Samir to cancel it out himself minutes later with his headed effort from close range.

After the break, Udinese would take the lead owing to Roberto Pereyra’s good work down the wing, with his eventual ball into the box coming unfortunately off of Parma defender Simone Iacoponi for 2-1.
It would turn out to be a fascinating night of football at the Dacia Arena, with Parma pulling level on 70 minutes. It was another goal from wide as wing-back Giuseppe Pezzella played an inviting cross which in-turn found fellow youngster Yann Karamoh inside the penalty area, with the Frenchman finishing for Parma’s second equalizer of the game.
Drama would unfold late on as either side looked for a winner, but it would be Udinese’s oncoming substitute Ignacio Pussetto who found it with a neat right-footed finish, and Udinese who would claim their first win and first points of the 2020-21 Serie A season.
