Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been linked to some top teams through the words of Georgia coach Willy Sagnol, but his agent Mamuka Jugeli is confident he’ll sign a new contract with Napoli relatively soon. He spoke with Sport Imedi (via Fantacalcio).
“Aurelio De Laurentiis is a very good person and did us a lot of good. He keeps his promises. The player will surely obtain what he deserves in the near future. It’s clear that he’s a champion and strives for something more. He and his family are satisfied.”
Jugeli expects developments in short order. Kvaratshkelia is already tied to Napoli long-term but is due for a raise since he joined with low wages.
“There’ll be changes in his contract in the near future. He is in great shape this year. He improved a lot in Italy and is performing better. His father agrees with me. He’s more mature and plays like a star. He can feature in any offensive position. I don’t think anybody expected what he achieved last season but him. He had told me that beforehand.”
The agent of Kvaratskhelia shared quick remarks about Rudi Garcia, whom Napoli recently sacked and replaced with Walter Mazzarri.
“I can’t say much about him, but even a kid knows that they shouldn’t lose to Empoli. Many highly educated persons work for the club.”
