Allegri Comments on Dybala and Arthur Before Udinese Tilt

Massimiliano Allegri previewed the Udinese game today: “We will face a physical team that defends well, and we will need to be very patient and technical. It is not a matter of bouncing back, as Serie A is different from Supercoppa. We have to try to win to right the ship against the minnows.”

“Danilo is not ready, and Leonardo Bonucci suffered a minor injury that will knock him out until the next break. Luca Pellegrini might start, and Juan Cuadrado is available. Alex Sandro had a good game versus Inter besides that last gaffe.”

The coach stated that Arthur and Alvaro Morata would not leave in January: “I have already said it, this is our squad and will have to finish the season the best way we can with it. We will try to improve collectively through hard work.”

Allegri gave a couple of hints regarding the lineup versus Udinese: “The Wojciech Szczesny situation got resolved. I have a doubt between Dejan Kulusevski and Federico Bernardeschi. The subs will be important. Giorgio Chiellini will be on the bench.”

The gaffer weighed in on Paulo Dybala: “It is up to the management to take care of contracts, and so that does not concern me. I contributed to raising him since he was a kid when he joined. I expect a lot from him in the second half of the campaign. His value is indisputable, and he is a great player. Expiring deals are not an issue, as it works like this in most businesses. Somebody may end up leaving, but they will play in the meantime. The only way to earn a spot at Juventus is to do well on the pitch. We are currently out of the top four, so all future evaluations are pushed to March or April.”
