Atalanta Target Talented Sassuolo Forward

Milan are closing in on a deal for Crotone’s Messias Junior and also have turned an eye on Atalanta striker Aleksey Miranchuk – all due to their failed negotiations with Brest for midfield ace Romain Faivre, who looks set to stay in Ligue 1.

Their intention to scout Miranchuk has prompted the Bergamo club to seek for a replacement upfront and one Sassuolo forward – Jeremie Boga – has appeared as the frontrunner.

In a twisted turn of events, Sassuolo are also eyeing Milan target Messias Junior as Boga’s alternative, however the 30-year-old Crotone forward is set to move to Milan.

Miranchuk’s departure from Atalanta will prompt La Dea to sign the Ivorian left winger, who has been a constant presence in Sassuolo’s front line for three years now. The chance to play in the Champions League will prove hard to reject for Boga, however Atalanta need to make a sizeable investment in the range of €20-25m – according to TUTTOmercatoweb.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have already made initial contact with Sassuolo for Boga, who is also on Premier League’s Crystal Palace’s shortlist.

Boga has scored one goal in two appearances for Sassuolo in the new Serie A season.
