Milan Eye Atalanta Attacker as Brest Turn Down Offer for Faivre

The Milan search for a new attacker will go down to the wire. Brest have rejected their latest bid for Roman Faivre, and the management is considering abandoning the pursuit. The Rossoneri are unwilling to offer the French club the €15M they are asking for, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Faivre chose not to play the most recent game to avoid injuries. Brest reacted sternly, but it is likely that he will stay put at this point. Milan will look at other objectives and have added a pair of new ones to the list today.  They reached out to Atalanta to get info on the availability of Aleksey Miranchuk, Gianluca Di Marzio reports. They also opened talks with Napoli concerning Adam Ounas.

The Orobici are not too keen on selling the player but did not completely shut down the door either. The Goddess signed the Russian international for €14M last year. The Nerazzurri told Milan that there would be too little time to find a replacement, Tuttomercatoweb informs.  Instead, the request by the Partenopei to sell Ounas is rather high.

Atalanta was linked with an improbable return of Dejan Kulusevski today. According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus no longer consider the Swedish forward untouchable. The Bianconeri could cash in on him to bankroll a more experienced addition to their attack. However, they acquired him for €44M, and it would be hard to get a similar sum nowadays. Moreover, Gian Piero Gasperini is not completely sold on bringing him back to Bergamo, the publication adds.
