Striking: Atalanta was Interested in Federico Bernardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi moved on from Juventus at the end of last season, joining Canadian side Toronto FC. Despite the Reds’ poor showing this season, the Italian has impressed during his time in North America. He has found the net on eight occasions from 12 outings and has been a clear bright spot in his new team.

However, reports have emerged that Gian Piero Gasperini tried to lure the former Fiorentina man to come to Atalanta. Napoli was also interested, but it seems like La Dea really wanted to add Bernadeschi to the squad. In the end, the 28-year-old decided to opt for a new adventure elsewhere.
