Berardi Denied Inter and Juventus Moves, Reveals Sassuolo CEO

Domenico Berardi has continually been linked to the exit door this season, with Lazio the latest club to enquire for the Sassuolo ace. Neroverdi chief Giovanni Carnevali is willing to hear offers for the in-demand forward, who according to him, missed out on chances to sign for Inter and Juventus, and instead opted to stay at the club.

At the ‘Foglio a San Siro’ event, Carnevali spoke (via FCInterNews) about a potential exit for Berardi, who he considers to the club’s flag bearer.

“He had the opportunity to go to Inter and Juve, but there has always been the right agreement between us and him, who preferred to stay. I consider it a positive thing, he is our flag, our captain absolute”.

Several clubs, including Milan, Napoli and Roma have been linked to the 28-year-old, whose contract at Sassuolo expires only in the summer of 2027. Berardi has 10 goals and 6 assists in 23 appearances for the Neroverdi this season.
