Paulo Dybala’s situation at Juventus is increasingly being scrutinized by bitter Derby d’Italia rivals Inter, who are targeting soon-to-be free agents because of their current financial predicament. The Argentine has so far failed to come to terms with the Bianconeri management regarding a contract renewal deal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to offer the playmaker a five-year deal worth €7.5m net per season – marginally more than the €7.3m he currently earns at Juventus. The Turin giants recently pulled out of contract negotiations, after initially offering La Joya a contract worth €10m, knowing that he has less than six months left on his current contract.
His contract demands have so far put off Juventus from going head-first into talks, however, the club are the first party to pull away from any further negotiations – most recently bringing down their offer to €8m.
The 28-year-old is also reportedly ‘irritated’ by Juventus’ renewal stance, according to Italian outlet La Repubblica.
Dybala’s situation at Juventus didn’t improve even after scoring his side’s opener against Udinese on the weekend, as he didn’t celebrate with joy, instead letting fly a glaring stare at the Juventus director’s box in an apparent gesture of frustration.
It doesn’t look like the Argentine talent would be leaving anytime before January. However, he is increasingly likely to move away from Turin in the next summer transfer window. Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur also keeping close tabs.
He has scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists for the Bianconeri in 21 appearances in 2021/22.
