Dusan Vlahovic Reluctant to Leave Juventus

Dusan Vlahovic is more inclined to stay at Juventus and fight for his place than join struggling Premier League titans Chelsea. As per Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serbia international is not enthusiastic about leaving Serie A after five years.

Vlahovic has emerged as a crucial component of a blockbuster swap deal between Juventus and Chelsea. It would see the 23-year-old striker head to Stamford Bridge and Romelu Lukaku move in the opposite direction. However, the former Fiorentina talisman doesn’t fancy that prospect.

Juventus are willing to part ways with Vlahovic less than two years after pouring €70 million into Fiorentina’s bank accounts to take him to Turin. The frontman’s inability to secure a regular starting berth under Massimiliano Allegri has convinced Bianconeri to put him on the market.

But Vlahovic’s troubled time at the Allianz Arena has tainted his image in the eyes of Europe’s big guns. As such, Juventus have yet to receive a satisfying bid for their marquee forward, forcing the club hierarchy to explore other avenues. One of them has led them to Lukaku.

With Chelsea equally desperate to offload the Belgian giant, a like-for-like swap that would include significant cash compensation for Juventus looks like a plausible solution. Yet, Vlahovic, who netted a late goal in a 3-1 friendly win over Real Madrid in midweek, has other ideas.

Despite falling out of favor with Allegri, the Partizan Belgrade youth academy graduate hasn’t lost his love for Juventus.
