Fiorentina Keen on Sassuolo Star, Vlahovic Future in Doubts

La Viola are preparing to lose their star centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic after a host of offers are said to have arrived for the Serbian marksman. While some reports indicate that he may line up for a contract renewal offer at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Fiorentina are taking no chances of being left without a striker as the new season approaches.

Sky Sports Italia report that the player and his agent will sit down with the club in the coming days to assess his future – with an increase in wages and a substantial release clause to be set in the new proposed deal. Fiorentina will reportedly let him leave only for an offer in the region of €60-70m.

Fiorentina director Joe Boarone recently said: “Vlahovic is a Fiorentina player, he has two years on his contract and we are working constantly with his agent over an extension.”

A long list of potential suitors have been drawn up for the Serbian youngster – including Tottenham, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Inter, among other clubs. On the other hand, La Viola have expressed interest in signing Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca, according to todofichajes.

Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 37 appearances for Fiorentina last season.
