Serie A Round 30

Five Players to Watch in Serie A Round 30 – Stars Return for Juventus and Milan

Although round 30 won’t feature any major Serie A fixtures, nothing would suggest that the excitement won’t be present at table. With the campaign entering its final stages, everyone has their own reason to deliver their best football before its too late. Let’s take a look at five players to keep a close eye on during this Calcio weekend.

Simy (Crotone)

Fairytales aside, Crotone are set for a quick return to Serie B. Nonetheless, the Calabrian side has been producing an entertaining style of football, whilst they happen to possess the most in-form striker in the league.

After finding the net in the last five matches (including three braces). Simy has taken his tally to 15 Serie A goals, and will be looking to maintain his brilliant run when facing Spezia in the curtain- raiser of Round 30.

Ismael Bennacer (Milan)

After a long spell on the sidelines, the Algerian star has been trying to regain his best physical form in his cameos against Fiorentina and Sampdoria.

Milan have been struggling for months in their attempt to fill the hole left by their central midfielder, and will be hoping that his return would mark the beginning of another string of good results.

Radja Nainggolan (Cagliari)

The Ninja spent his last two seasons trying to escape his ill-fated stint at Inter, and return his adopted Sardinian home.

Cagliari currently sit at the 18th spot in the Serie A table, and can no longer afford to drop points, even when facing the league leaders in round 30. Thus, their Belgian star will be eager to prove his worth against the club that never truly embraced him.

Fabio Quagliarella (Sampdoria)

Speaking of players facing their old clubs, the Italian striker will be leading the Blucerchiati against his hometown club.

Napoli’s momentum has been derailed after a defeat to Juventus in midweek, and their old boy will be hoping to add to their misery with perhaps another spectacular goal.

Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

He’s back! The Bianconeri star marked his return to the pitch after a long hiatus with a goal against the Partenopei in midweek.

The Argentine striker could be handed a starting spot by Andrea Pirlo when facing Genoa in round 30, and he will be determined to once again cement his claim as one of the best players in Serie A – if not the best.
