Four Defensive Outcasts Offered a Way Out of Roma

Roma have been one of the most active teams in recent transfer markets, scouting for players to strengthen the squad. However, in order to bolster the squad, the Giallorossi are supposed to reduce their size from 31 players.

The winter transfer market has opened up opportunities for Tiago Pinto to relieve some wages off the club’s books.

According to reports from Italy, via Il Corriere dello Sport, four defenders are on the verge of exiting the club.

Riccardo Calafiori, 19, is close to a loan move to Cagliari. Nevertheless, the deal is not finalized yet but it looks highly likely that he will be the first to exit the ranks.

The other three name are Davide Santon, Federico Fazio and Bryan Reynolds.

Full-back Santon is being scouted by French and Turkish club, whereas Federico Fazio is in the sights of Sampdoria. Il Doria have also been linked to Santon.

American youngster Reynolds is closely being touted for move to Belgian giants Anderlecht and Club Brugge, but a move back to MLS is not being ruled out.
