Frosinone Defender Eager to Prove to Be Juventus-Worthy

Juventus acquired Federico Gatti in the final days of the January window, pipping Torino at the post. He is completing the season at Frosinone: “Everything still feels surreal to me. I try not to give it too much thought, as I believe my future will hinge on these last few Serie B games. Putting pen-to-paper was an indescribable sensation.”

The defender has gone from Serie D to the Bianconeri in two years. He commented on his journey to TuttoSport: “I still recall my early seasons in the even lower divisions. My amateur teammates are my biggest supporters, and they are very happy for my climb.”

Signing with Juventus has affected Gatti immediately, even though he will join later on: “I felt as if the spotlight was on me since that day, and so I could not make mistakes on or off the pitch. I have to keep going. I will not relax because my early wake-up calls when I was a joiner forged me.”

“The compliments by Massimiliano Allegri were extremely pleasing. They motivated me and gave me even more responsibilities. I will do my best to deserve to stay at Juventus. I never set limits for myself, and I will never do. Dreams always come true in my mind. I was at the bottom a few years ago, I am in Serie B now, and I might share the locker room with champions like Dusan Vlahovic and Matthijs De Ligt next season. I want to be an inspiration for young players. My story proves that you must never give up.”

Gatti dished on his future Juventus teammates: “De Ligt is an alien. Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci welcomed me personally, and it was fantastic. They were super gentle, and I am looking forward to learning from them.”
