Inter Not Sweating Chatter About Their Other Stars

Inter will have to stave off more rich offers after partying ways with André Onana, but Nicolò Barella and Lautaro Martinez are fully expected to stay in Milan. Manchester City could pursue the star midfielder in the coming weeks, while the new captain received a large bid from Saudi Arabia.

Per Tuttomercatoweb, the Premier League champions plot to track the Azzurri ace if PSG lure Bernardo Silva. The two European powerhouses are very distant in the negotiation. The suitors tendered €30M, while the Citizens demanded €100M as they don’t want to lose the player. If it happened, the Nerazzurri stalwart would be top of the list to replace him.

While the threat for Barella could materialize later on, Martinez just received a mammoth proposal from the Saudi Pro League, Tyc Sports informs (via Goal). The Argentine has been tendered a four-year, €240M contract and would earn €60M per year if he accepted.

On the other hand, the striker hasn’t provided an opening to the destination. As a result, there haven’t been contacts between the Saudis and Inter to negotiate a fee.

Our Take on Barella and Martinez

While nobody is truly untouchable in today’s football, the Nerazzurri probably didn’t need to sell in the first place, and even more so after the Onana deal. Further key exits would be hard to stomach.
