As one of Serie A’s most in-demand stars, Gleison Bremer is eagerly anticipating to prove himself on the big stage once again. This time planning to stop a force of nature in Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Torino prepare to welcome league-leaders Milan in Turin. The Rossoneri will be well aware of the intensity of the match, having fired blanks against Bologna in a hapless stalemate last week.
The Granata stopper spoke about the upcoming clash against Milan and pointed out what he expects when he faces the 40-year-old Rossoneri veteran.
“You have to be attached to someone like him, try to anticipate him. He is very big, you have to know how to make the most of your body. Unlike Osimhen of Napoli, he too has great physicality, but with him you have to run away, because he always loves the ball in deep in defence,” said Bremer in an interview with DAZN (via MilanLive).
The Brazilian defender has already scored two goals against Milan in his career. He has 3 goals and one assist in 28 Serie A games this campaign.
Contracted to Torino until the summer of 2024, having recently jotted down an extension deal, Bremer is expected to leave the Granata at the end of the season.
Milan’s eternal rivals Inter are in pole position to bring him in to replace either Stefan De Vrij or Milan Skriniar in the middle of Simone Inzaghi’s back three.
