Despite signing Serbian talent Dusan Vlahovic in the winter transfer window, Juventus are looking for more reinforcements to boost the frontline. It is believed the Bianconeri management want a striker in particular to act as the former Fiorentina man’s number two – a support striker in the purest sense.
Juventus have short-listed Scudetto winner Olivier Giroud, whose contract with the Rossoneri expires in the summer of 2023. According to La Repubblica (via TuttoJuve), Massimiliano Allegri has directly asked for the French World Cup winner to have more depth in the attack, especially because of Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean’s uncertain future.
With proven spells across top European leagues, at Arsenal, Chelsea, and now Milan, Giroud is a likely candidate to be on the radar of top clubs, perhaps in the role of a veteran he currently adorns. Juventus might have nicked him down to deputize Vlahovic, but it will be challenging to convince Milan to let him go.
