Juventus, Roma and Arsenal are involved in a domino of midfielders that could go down in the final days of January, although rather unlikely.

Juventus Evaluating Offers for Arthur

Arthur Melo could be experiencing his final days at Juventus as the Bianconeri look to offload their misfit amid growing interest from several sides. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the record-time Italian champions have received various offers for their out-of-favour midfielder and are currently evaluating them.

Arthur has failed to live up to expectations since swapping Barcelona for Turin in a mouth-watering deal that saw Miralm Pjanic move in the opposite direction back in summer 2020. After an underwhelming maiden campaign in Serie A, he has continued to struggle for regular first-team action this season.

The 25-year-old has made only six Serie A appearances tenure this season and is understandably keen to move away from the Allianz Stadium. Arthur has found himself behind the likes of Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur in the pecking order under Massimiliano Allegri’s tenure.

With his first-team chances at a premium, he would be open to cut short his uninspiring spell in Turin.

However, his contract is due to expire in 2025, meaning Juventus are unlikely to let him go unless they receive a substantial compensation fee in return. Not many sides can afford to meet the Italians’ asking price and Arthur’s wage demands.

Arsenal are reportedly the front-runners in the race to capture his signature, with Juventus ready to sanction their outcast’s departure for the right price. Mikel Arteta is on the lookout for a new deep-lying midfielder to reinforce his squad and maintain the Gunners’ hopes of securing their first Premier League top-four finish since 2015/16.
