Juventus Join European Giants in Race for Chelsea Stopper

Chelsea stopper Antonio Rudiger has got a long list of potential suitors for his move away from Stamford Bridge, thanks to his defensive exploits with the Blues last season, leading them to Champions League glory.

With his contract expiring at the end of the current season, the German defender is looking to continue his career elsewhere. Negotiations between Chelsea and the player have not progressed at all and now it seems highly likely that he will part ways with the London natives.

According to latest reports from Italy and England, four top clubs are in pursuit of the highly-rated defender’s signature – one of them being Juventus.

The Bianconeri seem to have come to terms with the fact that Matthijs De Ligt might leave soon. Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are also nearing the end of their respective careers and signing a strong center-back is one of the club’s main priorities.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are the other three clubs who have begun talks with the player’s representatives.

Rudiger has already played in Serie A for Roma, spending two seasons in the Italian capital between 2015 and 2017.
