Juventus Update on Chiesa, Vlahovic and Pogba Return

Juventus have been boosted by news of Federico Chiesa’s imminent return to playing ways after a lengthy injury setback. Chiesa made a cameo appearance in the Bianconeri’s last match before the World Cup break – in the 3-0 win over Lazio – and is close to making a full return. Alongside him, there is also news surrounding Dusan Vlahovic and Paul Pogba.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tuttomercatoweb), Chiesa is bound to return as a starter against Cremonese when the campaign resumes on January 4. Additionally, he could also start in Juve’s upcoming friendly against Standard Liege on December 30 as a warm-up.

Vlahovic, who has been linked to the exit door already, is set to miss the first game of 2023 due to the lack of fitness having suffered for much of this year with injury problems. He has not appeared for the Bianconeri since the end of October.

Paul Pogba on the other hand, has resumed training on the field for a week now as he prepares his gradual return to first-team football. Pogba is still lacking fitness to return to playing ways but there are positive developments in his recovery. He is bound to make a first Juventus appearance since his return to the club from Manchester United.
