Milan Reportedly Scout Budding Boca Juniors Midfielder

Milan have some very young talent in their crosshair to strengthen the midfield and, on top of Assan Ouedraogo, they are keeping an eye on Ezequiel Fernandez. He’s more experienced than the German prodigy and stars as a pivot for Boca Juniors, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Rossoneri appreciate him in particular his personality. He has appeared in 37 matches this year, providing 2 assists. He’s a youth product of the Xeneizes and spent a season on loan at Tigre in the past. The 21-year-old has 42 Superliga appearances and 13 caps with U-17 Argentina under his belt.

Milan wouldn’t be alone in the prospective fray, as Benfica and Liverpool are after Fernandez as well. He might be ready to make the jump to Europe next summer. The fact that his current contract expires in 2025 keeps his price tag in check.

The Rossoneri are intrigued by Ouedrogo, whose €20M release clause will come into effect next summer. However, there’s plenty of competition. His family recently talked with RB Leipzig’s executives. He’ll further showcase his skills in the U-17 World Cup soon, potentially drawing more suitors.

While the German starlet and Fernandez are potential future targets for Milan, they could add another a youngster in January to address a position of need. The negotiation with Real Betis to onboard Juan Miranda is progressing nicely.
