The 23-year-old had been linked to them as a possible replacement for Tanguy Ndombélé. They didn’t buy him out after a loan spell from Tottenham. Considering his traits, the newcomer will be able to deputize both Frank Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka.
Cajuste will ink a five-year contract with Napoli after passing the physical tests. The Italian champions will shell out about €12M. He spent the past 18 months in Ligue 1. His former club signed him for €10M from Midtjylland in January 2022.

Our Take on Napoli Signing Cajuste
While their extensions are taking forever, they have been fast and surgical when zeroing in on players they liked and weren’t too expensive. This signing doesn’t preclude one further, and potentially pricey, move in the same role, as Piotr Zielinski is most likely leaving. Gabri Veiga and perhaps even Teun Koopmeiners remain squarely in the picture should the Azzurri be willing to shell out a considerable sum.
