Enzo Raiola has inherited part of the empire of his late cousin Mino and addressed the future of a few clients, starting with Gianluigi Donnarumma in an interview with TuttoSport (via Calciomercato).
“He said a few times that he’s very comfortable in Paris. Their project has evolved positively. The squad is tighter now. They no longer have stars but have a very young and hungry group. He has two years on his contract, so there’s no hurry about his renewal. In any case, we had initial conversations about it. Director Luis Campos stated he’d like to keep him. We wish to stay as well.”
“It’s prideful for me that he’s in one of the most important clubs in the world. He’s a stalwart for Italy at this point. He might become the same for PSG too. As for a return to Serie A, agents usually use the saying ‘never say never,’ and I would too, but it’s basically impossible at this stage.”
Raiola also commented on Ismael Bennacer, who had one foot out the door at Milan during the summer.
“The matter is easy. We touched base with some clubs, but he never doubted his willingness to stay at Milan. The market in Saudi Arabia isn’t open every day, and not everybody can go there. The Rossoneri wanted to keep him too. It’s hard to choose another European side. It’s not easy to leave since he’s in an important team, and he’s living in a nice city.”
