Roma Offered Reims Defender Eyeing Premier League Move

As clubs accelerate their shortlisting processes ahead of the summer transfer window, Wout Faes has emerged on the radar of several top giants, including Roma. The Anderlecht youth product has risen to Ligue 1 stardom in just two seasons, having experienced his breakthrough campaign in 2020/21.

According to Sportitalia (via Romapress.net), the Giallorossi have been offered his services ahead of the 2022/23 season, despite him having two seasons left on his French contract.

The Belgian’s performances of late have garnered the attention of not only the capital club, but also Lazio, Hellas Verona, and Cagliari. All interested clubs will need to shell out €10M at least in order to lure Reims’ attention. However, it is understood that the 24-year-old prefers a move to the Premier League. Newcastle remain in pole position if he does make an English move, as per Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws (via The Mirror).
