Sampdoria Reject Spurs’ Damsgaard Move, Open to Offers

Juventus have so far failed to reach an agreement with Sassuolo for 23-year-old Manuel Locatelli but another young Serie A superstar might be available for a move.

Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard was recently offered to Roma by club president Massimo Ferrero, who is ready to hear offers for the Danish talent. Corriere dello Sport have indicated that Ferrero might be interested in receiving a player – either Diawara or Florenzi – as part of the Damsgaard deal.

According to latest reports from La Repubblica (via Tuttomercatoweb), the Genoa-based club have rejected an offer in the range of €20m from Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs’ sporting director Fabio Paratici, who spent 11 years at Juventus, has had eyes on Damsgaard ever since the Dane moved to Serie A. However, he will not come for anything less than €40m.

Locatelli remains top priority for Juventus, whereas for Sampdoria, a convincing offer is yet to be heard by the club for 21-year-old Damsgaard.
