Torino Add Vlasic Permanently Following West Ham Standoff

Torino have reached an agreement with West Ham United for the permanent transfer of Nikola Vlasic, who spent last season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The Granata management reportedly took the decision to finalize the deal after being convinced of the playmaker’s abilities the previous campaign, wherein he scored 5 goals in 37 appearances.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Torino offered €10M plus €2M in bonuses to lure Vlasic from the London outfit, with the player himself hellbent on leaving the Hammers forever. West Ham have also been offered a percentage on the player’s future resale.

Last week, he gave an explosive interview to Tuttosport, revealing his intention to part ways.

“I’m fed up with this dead-end situation. We all know, you first, that I’m not considered an important player here, I’m just one of many in the reserve group. This cannot be the solution. I’ve been telling you for two months that I want to play for Torino, that I no longer want to stay in West Ham under these conditions, on the sidelines, and also that my own family never wants to go back to live in England.”

Vlasic will sign a permanent contract valid until the summer of 2027 with Torino, bagging a salary worth €2M net per season. The Croat will join Ivan Ilic, Raoul Bellanova, Adrien Tameze, Nemanja Radonjic, Mihai Popa, and Kevin Haveri as Torino’s seventh summer signing.
