Torino Interested in Signing Pellegri in January

Torino are reportedly interested in signing Milan’s Pietro Pellegri in the January transfer window.

According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), the club from Turin want to sign the 20-year-old as a replacement for Andrea Belotti, who could be out for a few months after suffering an injury against Roma. A major boost for Torino is the fact that Pellegri’s father Marco is the team manager at the club.

Pellegri joined Milan on loan from Monaco this summer and has made only four appearances across all competitions in 2021/22 so far. The Rossoneri have the obligation to sign him next summer provided certain conditions.

Belotti being sidelined is a massive blow for Torino and they need a short-term signing until he is back in action. Pellegri would be a decent addition to their squad and he could receive a lot more game time than he does at Milan.

The striker’s father being at Torino certainly gives them a chance of landing him.
