Iconic Sacchi Applauds Behind-the-Scene Work Done by Milan Management

Milan have emerged strong in recent seasons, thanks to the work done behind the scenes by the high management that presently consists of technical director and club legend Paolo Maldini, sporting director Ricky Massara and CEO Ivan Gazidis.

Former Milan tactician Arrigo Sacchi, who won everyone there is to win in the Rossoneri ranks, has heaped words of praise for the trio’s work that has propelled the seven-time European champions from strength to strength.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) in an exclusive interview, the legendary coach took the opportunity to congratulate the high command for the work they have done so far, which has helped the Rossoneri push for their first Scudetto in a decade.

“Maldini and Massara have done an excellent job, and Gazidis has always been attentive to the budget and never allowed dangerous operations. Maldini and Massara have bought young players, semi-known, and this can only be done by those who really understand football. Furthermore, the number of season tickets has increased and the team is fighting to win the Scudetto. Great results,” he exclaimed.

However, next season may mark a change in personnel in the management of the club, given that current owners Elliott Management are in advanced negotiations with Arab fun InvestCorp for a change in ownership ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Milan sit atop the Serie A standings with 71 points, two points ahead of Inter after 33 matchdays, who still have a game left in hand.
