Inter Pocket Record Earnings Thanks to Coppa Italia Win

Winning the Coppa Italia had a substantial windfall for Inter. On top of the usual prize money of the competition, they cashed in wealthy bonuses stemming from the contracts with their sponsors. They had not taken home the domestic cup in 11 years. It was their second trophy of the season as they had beaten Juventus in the Supercoppa as well. They will attempt to complete a secondary treble in the two final Serie A fixtures.

According to IlSole24Ore, the League paid €3M to the two finalists and €4.5M more to the winners. The ticket sales of the Stadio Olimpico were split between the two sides and the organizers. They generated €2.3M as 70k fans attended the game Wednesday.

The success in Coppa Italia will have its benefits next season as well, as Inter punched their ticket to the Supercoppa. Serie A officials have already announced that it will take place in Saudi Arabia, which will be pretty profitable. They will face either Milan, if the Rossoneri win the Scudetto, or Juventus if they surpass their crosstown rivals.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri will enjoy some add-ons from their sponsorships, in particular those with Socios and Digitalbits-Zytara Labs. Those portions of the deals were entirely made public, but the tally should amount to about €2.5M combined, the publication informs. Therefore, Inter will pocket around €12.5M thanks to the Coppa Italia victory, which is an unprecedented sum in these circumstances. Overtaking Milan in the standings down the stretch would lead to further earnings from their partners.
