Italiano Dishes on Inter Romp and Fiorentina Newcomers

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano received the Torrino d’Oro award on Wednesday and assessed their first few matches and in particular the ugly loss to Inter. He talked to Tuttomercatoweb.

“It ruined these two days off. It was a heavy defeat, but we just started. We have to work, grow, and insert many new concepts. That’s especially the case for our new players. The journey will be long. We obtained what we wanted in the early going: advancing past the European Conference League’s playoffs. We know how to react and can do well in Serie A.”

Italiano was quizzed about M’Bala Nzola.

“I know him, and he’s suffering because he hasn’t scored yet, but we are only at the beginning. It’d be better for all newcomers to be supported since they joined. It’s my only demand. We have to overcome the difficulties. Nzola and Lucas Beltran need to bag their first goal because we must win games.”

Italiano discussed the fit between Maxime Lopez and Arthur.

“The former is a quality player, and we need to find the right balance with everybody. It’s something relative to the whole team. We didn’t have it in the past game and paid the price. We weren’t our true selves in Milan. They are very similar: they can feature together or alternate.”
