Jorginho Prefers Return to Napoli Over Chelsea Stay

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho would prefer to return back to Napoli the following summer as his current contract draws to a close in June 2023. The regista spent five seasons as a Partenopei midfield pinhead, before jumping ship to join with the Blues in the Premier League.

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has confirmed the news in an exclusive talk to Tuttomercatoweb. Santos says despite no contacts being established between the two parties, Jorginho would be happy with an approach when the winter transfer window opens.

“Jorginho expires on June 30th, we have a renewal proposal and give Chelsea priority. Naples represented our home in Italy, Giuntoli greatly appreciates the boy, for us it is a special place. If there was a new interest we would be happy, but at the moment Napoli have no contact with us.”

It is understood that Chelsea want to keep hold of him, but he would definitely not rule out a return to the club where he made a name for himself. Newcastle United are also monitoring the Italian-Brazilian midfielder.
