Ex-Inter hero Julio Cesar has backed Andre Onana to shine between the posts when the Nerazzurri visit Camp Nou for the return leg of the group encounter that the Blaugrana lost last week. Inter grabbed all three points at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last week, thanks to a lone goal by Hakan Calhanoglu,
Speaking to the press (via FCInter1908) before the match at the stadium, Cesar said he believes Inter will be filled with confidence on the back of their victory.
“Inter certainly arrive with great confidence, after the match against Barcelona they also won in the league. They have to play very quietly and know the right moment to strike. Barcelona have to go out to look for the result, and this can help Inter play freely.”
Onana has been chosen by Simone Inzaghi to star in the UEFA Champions League this season, ahead of veteran stopper Samir Handanovic.
“What did I say to Onana? Have fun! Easy, for someone as strong as him.”
Barcelona have suffered only one defeat in the previous 17 visits from Italian teams at the Camp Nou, although that did come in the most recent instance against Juventus on December 2020 (L3-0).
