Juventus About to Enter Critical Phase of Talks with Dybala

Juventus will soon restart the negotiations with their players on expiring contracts, especially Paulo Dybala. The parties have not had further meetings after the talks broke off in December due to a U-turn by the management. The next summit is likely to take place within the next ten days, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The Bianconeri are hopeful that the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic and the instant chemistry between the two will convince the Argentinian striker to stay. On the other hand, the outcome of the negotiation will hinge on the new offer by the club. The previous one, €8M wages plus €2M add-ons for the next four or five seasons, is no longer on the table.

According to the transfer market expert, Dybala could stay at Juventus if the management proposed around €7M per year. It would be the same salary as the newcomer. A lower sum would probably lead to his departure. However, the ace has yet to actively start looking for a new team. He wants to see it through with his present one first.

If things went awry, Inter and Barcelona would be the frontrunners to sign him, Di Marzio adds. Instead, the striker does not seem particularly enticed about moving to the Premier League. The physical English style of football does not suit him. Manchester City were rumored to be ready to make a considerable offer. On top of Dybala, Juventus will also touch base with Juan Cuadrado, Mattia Perin, Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio, Sky reports.
